This was Joe's project, when he left the band in 1979, after a fight with Steven.
Facts
Steven Tyler and Brad Whitford, of Aerosmith, went to the first Joe Perry Project show;
Joe Perry's spent more than six thousand dollars in heroin for the first tour of the Project;
Joe Perry Project members had listened to more than 100 tapes before they choose Charlie Farren;
At the end of 1982, when Brad Whitford was making some shows with the JPP, Joe and Brad wrote a song called "Wait For The Night";
Glenda, Joe's girfirend and hairdresser at the moment, punched Billie Montgomery (actual Joe's wife) when discovered they were dating. This happened when Joe was still married to Elyssa;
Cowboy Mach Bell supported Joe's decision of coming back to Aerosmith, by saying: "Go ahead man. We don't want to be on your way".
There was almost a fourth Joe Perry Project album. Joe's manager, Tim Collins, sent a tape of "Once A Rocker, Always A Rocker" to Geffen and various other labels, but he was never answered about this. Aerosmith signed with Geffen some months laters and the Joe Perry Project was over.
